My internship at Maverik was an incredible opportunity that I’ll carry with me forever. Maverik has been an incredible company to work for! I started at store 526 in Logan, Utah, while attending USU. The amazing management team there helped me secure an internship at our corporate headquarters. During the internship, I met several department heads and learned about various functions of the organization. My meeting with the Director of Category Management revealed my strong interest in their work, which involves product selection, contract negotiations, and promotional strategies. The Director suggested gaining experience with our Merchandising team, so I spent 3 years there, acquiring valuable skills. In 2023, I was promoted to the Category Management team and have loved every moment of it. Maverik truly promotes from within and supports employees in growing into their areas of interest!

Application Process
You can apply directly on our careers page but our jobs can also be found through all major job platforms.
Internship Schedule and Time Off
We offer full time internships (30 hours minimum and 40 maximum).
Work with your manager to get any time off needed (time off is unpaid). We will ask during the application process if you have any upcoming vacations so we can take that into account.
Success and Experience
Be collaborative, proactive, and productive. Networking as much as you can throughout your department and getting insight on how things work and what you can do as an intern to involve yourself in the team is what will make your internship successful.
Internship Timeline
Our internships are 90 days and the maximum extension we allow for an intern if the project is still needed is 120 days.
You will be assigned a project that will be utilized as a productive resource even after your internship is over. You will also gain insight on real world experience in that particular department.
Compensation
We pay $15.00/hour unless you are working on a Masters program then it will be $21.00/hour.

Qualifications and Requirements
We are looking for students who are excited to want to work for Maverik, someone who shows great communication skills and can be a good culture fit for our team.
You must be enrolled in an accredited college to be eligible for an internship.
You must be over the age of 18.

We have been very successful in hiring interns into full/part time opportunities. Opportunities will vary and are not guaranteed. We consider interns even after the internship has ended.
